BULLETIN 10th March 2010

News reaching tegano-lake.com, report that, 2010 members of 'Lake Tegano World Heritage' (LTWH) Working Committee members have been issued with notice for meeting commencing 10th March, 2010.

The meeting will be attended by the 'Live & Learn' Country Manager Mr Jacob Zikuli with one other officer from 'Live & Learn' office in Honaira, expected in East Rennell today 10.03.10.

The purpose of the meeting is for Mr Jacob Zikili Country Manager to clearify some issues of concern with regard to the 'Lake Tegano World Heritage Program' as well as conducting induction training for the 2010 LTWH Committee members.

The meeting is to be followed by a two days workshop focussing on Eco tourism activities, to be conducted at Tevaitahe village from 10 Mar- 11 Mar 2010. Twenty community representatives has been selected to participate in this workshops.

On 18 March 2010, EU delegation will visit East Rennell to meet the Rennell Bellona Provincial government, LTWH Committee and the communities of East Rennell. This delegation is comprised of 'Monitoring and Evaluation Managers' and representative from the Solomon Islands Ministry of Planning.

The main purpose of this high powered mission is to review EU Support through the 'EU Sustainable Forest and Conservation Projects, Project implementation Unit' (SFCP-PIU) to the East Rennell communities'.

The EU SFCP-PIU has a direct support through the Grant Contract through the Live & Learn, to the East Rennell communities.
